Ann Coppel is a Writer/Director/Producer working in documentary, narrative, and educational film and television. She is founder of Ann Coppel Productions, a film and video production company based in the Pacific Northwest.
She has created informational and education-based videos for a variety of business customers. Ann is known for award-winning documentaries including the “Living Treasures” series (profiles of elder craftspeople and artisans from the Pacific Northwest), “A Journey of Spirit,” about Jewish singer-songwriter Debbie Friedman, and “Speaking for Ourselves: Portraits of Gay and Lesbian Youth.”
Her work also includes mockumentaries (“I Am Ann” and “Rose Brown for President”) and illustrated shorts with her collaborator Kathy Ross, a mixed media sculptor/illustrator (“The Dream,” “Tree Climbing,” and “How I Didn’t Learn about the Facts of Life”). Her work has been screened at film festivals around the world.
